After returning from sabbatical in 2016, Joe focused on graduating the cohort of students in the lab (Konrad Hafen, Rebecca Rossi & Dan Hammil) through 2017. Prior to 2016, I tended to have 4 to 6 graduate students at a time, which I felt stretched me too thin and didn't allow me enough time as I would have liked to spend with each student (although they probably had plenty of me). Going forward, I'm looking at maintaining more like 2 - 3 students.
