Sonya joined the lab in 2009 after completing a BS in Botany with a minor in Geology from Weber State University. She brings extensive field experience with her and is working on a project in Bridge Creek, OR using beaver as a restoration agent to reconnect incised streams to their floodplains and improve steelhead habitat.
Sonya successfully defended in May of 2012 and now runs the Botany lab at Weber State University.
