Chris now works for the US Fish & Wildlife Service. Chris was very helpful as a GIS analyst in his short tenure with the FHC in Spring of 2014.
Chris Smith was a GIS technician for the ET-AL at Utah State University in 2014 before going to take a position with the US Fish & Wildlife Service in Vernal. Chris earned a degree in Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences from Utah State in 2013 and has worked for the US Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) since 2003, primarily with native and endangered fish recovery projects in the Upper Colorado River Basin. Prior to 2003, Chris spent his summers guiding river trips in Utah and Arizona and winters harvesting brine shrimp eggs on the Great Salt Lake (and skiing too).
